About Us

About the Texas Conservative Party

Who We Are

The Texas Conservative Party is a Texas Political Action Committee — The People’s PAC — and an affiliate of Conservative Party USA.

Our mission is to restore constitutional government, defend individual liberty, hold public servants accountable, identify and support principled candidates, and rebuild meaningful political participation from the local level upward.

Although our name is the Texas Conservative Party, our work in Texas is carried out through our PAC, grassroots organization, candidate vetting, endorsements, political education, and government-accountability efforts.

We believe government belongs to The People.

Public officials are entrusted with temporary authority to serve—not rule—the People they represent.

Why We Exist

For too long, The People have been encouraged to believe that political participation begins and ends at the ballot box.

It does not.

Self-government requires involvement before elections, during elections, between elections, and after elections.

The Texas Conservative Party exists to provide The People with an organized way to:

  • Understand government and constitutional principles
  • Identify issues affecting their communities
  • Vet candidates before giving them political support
  • Hold elected officials accountable after Election Day
  • Organize locally
  • Participate in legislative and political action
  • Support principled candidates
  • Educate others
  • Restore government to its proper constitutional role

We are not interested in creating another political machine.

We are building an organization through which The People can reclaim their proper place in government.

What Does “Conservative” Mean?

To conserve means to preserve something worthy of preservation.

For us, conservatism is not a campaign slogan, political brand, or party label.

It means preserving the principles that made self-government possible:

  • Liberty.
  • Private property.
  • Due process.
  • Limited government.
  • Representative government.
  • The rule of law.
  • Strong families.
  • Strong communities.
  • Local self-government.
  • Personal responsibility.
  • Government accountability.

A candidate does not become conservative simply by placing an R beside his or her name.

A political organization does not become conservative simply because it says so.

Principles must be demonstrated through actions.

Our Foundational Principles

Political Power Belongs to The People

Legitimate government derives its authority from The People and exists for their benefit.

Government is the servant.

The People are not its subjects.

Subsidiarity — Government Closest to The People

Government works best when decisions are made as close as reasonably possible to the people affected by them.

Responsibility should remain with individuals, families, communities, local government, and the State of Texas unless a more distant level of government possesses a legitimate constitutional responsibility.

Political power should move upward only when necessary—not downward merely because government desires greater control.

Government Has Limits

Government cannot create a perfect society, guarantee prosperity, eliminate every hardship, or solve every human problem.

Attempts to do so inevitably require government to take greater control over the lives, property, choices, and resources of The People.

The proper role of government is limited.

Its purpose is not to manage every aspect of life.

Liberty Requires Responsibility

Freedom and responsibility cannot be separated.

Self-government requires The People to remain informed, involved, capable of governing themselves, and willing to accept responsibility for the preservation of their liberty.

When The People surrender responsibility to government, government inevitably gains power.

Private Property Is Essential to Liberty

A person who cannot securely possess property cannot remain truly independent.

Private property provides families with security, enables economic independence, and places limits upon government power.

The Texas Conservative Party therefore considers property rights a foundational liberty rather than simply an economic issue.

Government Must Be Accountable

Public office is a position of trust.

Campaign promises should not disappear after an election.

Party affiliation should never excuse betrayal of principle, constitutional duty, or commitments made to The People.

We believe public servants must be judged by their actions, records, votes, and willingness to remain accountable.

Charity Should Be Voluntary

The strength of a free society is found not only in government, but in families, churches, charities, neighbors, communities, and voluntary associations.

Compassion is most meaningful when it is freely given.

Government should not attempt to replace voluntary charity by continually transferring responsibility away from individuals and communities.

Federal Power Has Constitutional Limits

The federal government was not created with unlimited jurisdiction over every aspect of American life.

Texas retains authority over matters not constitutionally delegated to the federal government.

We support constitutional federalism and oppose federal overreach into matters properly belonging to the states or The People.

We Owe Something to Future Generations

Liberty is not ours to consume and leave nothing behind.

Each generation inherits institutions, resources, rights, traditions, and responsibilities from those who came before.

We have an obligation to preserve what is good, correct what is wrong, conserve what future generations will need, and leave Texas freer and stronger than we found it.

Liberty · Integrity · Victory

These words define the standard we intend to uphold.

Liberty

The rights of The People do not originate with government.

Government exists to protect liberty—not dispense it.

Integrity

Those entrusted with political power must exercise it honestly, constitutionally, and accountably.

Integrity requires consistency between what a public servant promises and what that person does.

Victory

Principles that exist only on paper cannot preserve a republic.

Victory requires education, organization, courage, participation, and action.

The People’s PAC

The Texas Conservative Party operates in Texas as The People’s PAC.

Our PAC gives The People an organized vehicle through which they can participate in the political process beyond simply casting a ballot.

Through The People’s PAC, we:

  • Vet candidates
  • Endorse principled candidates
  • Educate The People
  • Organize grassroots networks
  • Engage in legislative action
  • Promote government accountability
  • Mobilize communities
  • Support constitutional leadership

The Texas Conservative Party is The People’s PAC — the voice of and for The People, defending The People’s rights.

Candidates Must Earn Our Support

We do not believe party affiliation alone qualifies anyone for public office.

Candidates seeking Texas Conservative Party endorsement are evaluated according to constitutional principles, record, character, commitments, knowledge, and willingness to remain accountable to The People.

An endorsement should mean something.

Built from the Bottom Up

Political restoration will not come solely from Washington or Austin.

It must also happen in counties, precincts, neighborhoods, churches, homes, school districts, city halls, and communities throughout Texas.

The Texas Conservative Party is building a grassroots network of The People willing to learn, organize, lead, and act.

Political power begins locally.

Our Relationship with Conservative Party USA

The Texas Conservative Party is affiliated with Conservative Party USA, a national conservative political organization.

Texas maintains its own priorities, grassroots organization, political action, candidate-vetting process, endorsements, and state-level initiatives while participating in the broader national conservative movement.

Our Commitment to the People of Texas

We will strive to put principle above party.

We will ask difficult questions.

We will examine records.

We will challenge government when necessary.

We will support those who demonstrate that they understand public office is service.

We will educate The People rather than tell them simply what to think.

And we will work to restore a fundamental truth that has been forgotten far too often:

Government belongs to The People.

Stand for Liberty.

Demand Integrity.

Help Shape the Future of Texas.
